Taking care of people shows up in everyday ways—on the job, at home, and in our communities. One of those ways is being prepared to respond when something unexpected happens. During a recent third-party training, 37 team members either recertified or became certified for the first time, bringing the total to 71 trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED—about a third of the team. It reflects a shared focus on learning, preparedness, and looking out for one another—wherever life happens.
When Seconds Matter
Cardiac emergencies can occur anywhere—at home, at a child’s sporting event, in a grocery store, or out in the community. CPR and First Aid training equips people with the knowledge and confidence to act in those critical moments—when seconds matter. By investing in this training, Didion is helping ensure that these skills travel with our people wherever they go—supporting safer families and communities.
Preparedness Is an Act of Care
The most recent training sessions focused on essential emergency response skills, including:
- Performing CPR
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Responding to cardiac emergencies
- Providing basic first aid until professional help arrives
Having trained team members across shifts and departments means help is never far away. More importantly, it reflects a culture where people look out for one another—by choice, not by requirement.
Investing in People Is How We Live Our Values
We believe that learning and development should do more than support job performance—it should strengthen the whole person. CPR and First Aid training is one of many ways Didion invests in education that empowers individuals with skills they can carry for a lifetime. When companies care deeply about their people, the ripple effects are real. Knowledge spreads. Confidence grows. Lives are changed—and sometimes saved.
Thank You to Our Team Members
We are grateful to every team member who took the time to earn or renew their certification. Getting certified was voluntary. Your commitment to preparedness and care makes a meaningful difference for your coworkers, your families, and your communities. This training would not be possible without the strong support of our team members’ leaders, who encouraged participation and supported schedules to make attendance possible.
