Every year, over 500 local producers deliver more than 27 million bushels of corn to Didion. This harvest is what drives our ability to produce dry corn ingredients, biofuels, livestock feed and a range of industrial products that reach communities across the world.
On October 24, our Grain team hosted a Harvest Lunch, offering our local producers a well-deserved break during their busiest season. Harvest demands long days and tremendous effort, and we believe it’s important to give back to the people who keep us all fed and supply the high-quality corn we’re proud to process.
Thanks to support from our friends at Compeer Financial, we were able to treat our producer partners to lunch and show appreciation for the dedication that goes into each bushel.
“Our local farmers put in an incredible amount of hard work, and we want them to know how much we appreciate it,” said Kelley Breneman, Insurance Officer at Compeer Financial. “Serving a warm meal in their own neighborhood is our way of showing support, recognizing the vital role agriculture plays in our area, and saying thanks for all they do to keep our community strong.”
Through the efforts of these hardworking farmers, Didion’s mission to feed and fuel communities near and far comes to life daily.
