At Didion, safety is more than a priority—it is a core value embedded in every process, shift and decision we make. That commitment was front and center during our recent First Responders Day, when we welcomed local emergency professionals to our Cambria campus for a day of connection, collaboration, and shared learning.
Twelve first responders from Madison, Beaver Dam, Pardeeville, Cambria, Randolph, and Portage joined us for a tour of our Mill and Bioscience facilities. They met with our Environmental, Health and Safety team and leaders from our facilities, walked through key areas of the campus, and took part in discussions about safety protocols and coordination efforts.
Conversations like this strengthen the relationship between our team and the dedicated professionals who serve our surrounding communities and ensure that first responders are familiar with our facility and the safety systems we’ve implemented across our operations.
Throughout the day, our guests saw firsthand how Didion continues to invest in safety through industry-leading practices, hands-on training, and advanced technology. From standardized procedures to improved communication tools, every element is designed to support a safe work environment, drive operational efficiency, and uphold our commitment to quality.
The visit also underscored how safety supports Didion’s broader mission. We buy corn from more than 500 local farms (many of them multi-generation family operations) and we employ over 260 team members. Together, we produce corn-based ingredients and biofuels that millions of people depend on every day. From cereal to ethanol, Didion products help feed families and fuel communities across the globe—and we can only fulfill that mission by making safety our top priority.
We appreciate the men and women who work to protect our community and share in the commitment to safety. We value their partnership and look forward to continued collaboration.
