Each summer, Didion welcomes a group of bright, driven interns who bring fresh perspectives, curiosity and energy to our teams. This year’s cohort came from universities across the Midwest and contributed to work in bioscience, engineering, accounting, and supply chain. From improving processes to building dashboards and supporting innovation, their work made a meaningful impact—and we’re proud to share their stories.
Kiefer Sachse – Chemical Engineering Intern
University of Minnesota–Duluth
Kiefer worked on a few projects this summer, including new technology that will provide real-time process insights. He is passionate about finding innovative ways to make processes safer, more efficient, and better informed through data-driven insights.
“My favorite moments so far have been spending time with the other interns. Whether it was a company outing, volunteering, going to the gym, those experiences made the internship experience even more fun.”
Jackson Clark – Applied Chemistry and Product Development Intern
Purdue University
Jackson is passionate about collecting data to give more of a guided plan to develop new products. Whether it was learning new skills that he will take into his future or bonding with his fellow interns, Jackson’s summer has been filled with impact and fun.
“I’ve always worked in hands-on environments. Didion’s milling lab environment was the perfect combination of hands on and chemistry applications.”
Alec Caceres – Mechanical Engineering Intern
Washington University in St. Louis
Alec made a lasting impact this summer through his work to improve bulk loadout, with a focus on increasing production while maintaining operating safety.
“My interest in the manufacturing field comes from wanting to solve real-world engineering problems. Being exposed to a fast-paced production environment gave me a taste of what it may be like in an engineering position in the future.”
Andrew Walter – Reliability Engineering Intern
University of Wisconsin – Platteville
Andrew appreciates the broad scope and ownership that reliability work offers, along with the opportunity to dig into details when needed. This summer, he laid the groundwork for a new dashboard that will help teams plan and budget work more effectively.
“Those kinds of smaller interactions where respect and help shine through are certainly my favorite.”
Andrew’s impact extended beyond his project work. He also organized a volunteer opportunity for the intern group with an organization that helps provide job opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Jacob Binder – Purchasing and Supply Chain Intern
Iowa State University
Jacob’s work this summer involved using innovative AI tactics to improve efficiency and support smart business outcomes. His development of a new purchasing dashboard made an impact.
“Not many interns are given the opportunity to work on such meaningful, high-impact projects, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had that chance.”

Braden Peacock – Chemical Engineering Intern
Purdue University
Braden is passionate about helping create energy savings that have a positive environmental impact. His contributions this summer will serve as a steppingstone for both his own future and Didion’s future.
“My main goal is to make sure I accomplish something that benefits both me and Didion. I want to make sure my project is something that I can be proud of, and I know has a positive impact on the company.”

Trevor Zabrowski – Accounting and Information Technology Management (ITM)
University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
Trevor’s goal this summer was to gain as much knowledge as possible in his field. He was inspired to be an intern at Didon because of the opportunity to grow and the support that Didion provides team members as they work toward their goals.
“The intern golf event was fun. I really liked the time the interns spent together. It was a really good experience.”
We are incredibly proud of the hard work, curiosity, and fresh thinking our 2026 interns brought to Didion this summer. Their dedication and enthusiasm will continue to shape a better future for our teams, and we cannot wait to see where their journeys take them next.
